We opened our doors in January 2014.
We are currently in the process of obtaining our 501c3 status. Lack of funding has made things difficult and we are currently on hold with a limited number of animals until we have made some upgrades to be able to care for more animals.
We also are a directory featuring reputable rescues, veterinary resources and information of interest to companion animal lovers everywhere. Our main focuses are dogs, cats and horses.
We currently house 10 animals. We have 6 cats that have all been rescued by the property owner or a person in the community. We provide food and water for 1 TnR Mama cat. We have 1 rescued dog that is a permanent resident plus 2 dogs who are here and will be taken care of on long term fosters.
We have much work still to do on our site.
Our plan is to develop the site to be a national directory of animal rescue organizations , educational and veterinary resources. If are familiar and have had a positive experience with any rescues local to your area or any veterinary resources such as lost cost spay/neuter or vaccination clinics please mention them in the comments and I will feature your favorite organization on an appropriate page in our directory.
How can you help ?
We are on overload as we are located in a residential neighborhood and we are in dire need of donations for fencing. Fencing would allow us to take 2 more small or medium dogs whose time is up in a public shelter.
Once we have reached the current goal for needed donations needed for the current situation we will be working towards acquiring a new location for a facility that allows us to bring home both more dogs and cats as well as being a rehab facility for rescued horses and a potential situation for other farm animals.
We are looking to raise $2,450.00 as soon as possible in order to install fencing and for the spay , shot and licensing costs for 1 fostered dog. This is is an estimated amount. We also need to stock up on emergency veterinary supplies. We are happy to accept donations in the form of needed supplies or money to purchase supplies.
Lack of funding has made things difficult and we are currently on hold and will not be accepting more animals until we have made some upgrades to be able to care for more animals.
We are a private rescue. Our purpose is to be a place that can bring animals permanently if they can not be adopted out.
